Reading the numbers in the article, it’s hard not to feel exasperated - massive year-over-year drops in multiple core European markets aren’t just “a blip”. Tesla’s UK, NL, Norway, Germany, Spain, Sweden, Denmark and more all show steep falls in January compared to 2024. That said, slamming the headline as doom fails to capture the broader context: most EV markets grew in Europe in early 2026, so Tesla’s relative collapse obviously indicate problems beyond just seasonality... I wonder where this ends for Tesla!

I think at least part of this is due to Tesla safety and quality problems that people previously shrugged off because EVs were new and exciting. Now that the honeymoon is over people can have a more sober look at the realities of owning a Tesla.
